In these strange and disconcerting times Holistic Health would like to extend our gratitude to all those who have been in touch to offer support and wishes. Closing the practice has been difficult, it felt like battening down the hatches ahead of a hurricane, but we know that with time this will pass.
It’s Back Care Awareness week and this year focuses on back pain in older adults. Andrew Fung, one of Holistic Health's Osteopaths, shares some information and a few tips to ensure your back is getting the care it needs.
Did you know that most of us experience some form of back pain in our lifetime? And it becomes ever more likely the older we get. While back pain when you are younger usually has a limited range of causes, as we age these increase to include conditions that come about because of wear and tear and physiological changes like osteoporosis, fractures, infections and a narrowing of the spinal column known as stenosis.

Hello fellow foot lovers!
We’re over the moon that our foot clinic is busier than ever, in no small measure, due to the amazing work of our podiatrist extraordinaire, Tracy.
We’re shouting from the rooftops as Tracy has appeared in yet another one of our favourite publications, in another great article, on one of her favourite subjects, Barefoot Benefits! This time it’s about our little ones!
If you're wondering what Thai Yoga Massage is all about, our amazing practitioner Hannah answers a few of your questions.
Q&A with Holistic Health practitioner Hannah Verghese
What is Thai Yoga Massage?
Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient form of therapeutic bodywork which combines acupressure and applied yoga stretching. It is a full body therapy which relieves muscular tension, calms the nervous system and balances energy in the body. Treatments are carried out on a futon or a mat on the floor. You are asked to wear comfortable clothing, that you can move easily in, to receive the treatment.
At its essence Thai Yoga Massage is a practice of “metta” or loving kindness and becomes a moving meditation for therapist and receiver. We're absolutely delighted to share with you that we've once again been included in Timeout's Best Massages in London in 2018!
We'd like to congratulate our amazing practitioners, Alan, who was given an outstanding review for Holistic Health and, Amy, whose wonderful review was for The Refinery.
We are very grateful to have a great team of massage therapists offering a wide variety of massages, including: holistic massage, deep tissue massage, aromatherapy massage, pregnancy massage, sports massage, tui na, speciality massages, Thai yoga massage, deep abdominal massage, facial rejuvenation massage, hot stone massage, Indian head massage.

After Tracy’s appearance on last night’s Channel 4’s Supershoppers we thought you’d like to see her top tips for fitting your little one’s shoes.
Tracy Byrne our lead podiatrist was recently contacted by BBC Radio London in regards to an email they received from a keen Barefooter.
In the email he said he liked to walk bare foot but finds people staring at him; thus raising the question on whether barefoot walking is frowned upon in today’s society.
