Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine that involves the insertion of fine needles into the skin at certain sites in the body for pain relief, therapeutic or preventive purposes.
It is used to treat a wide range of conditions and dis-ease, most commonly for pain relief, though also used to treat a wide range of conditions generally used in combination with other treatments such as moxa (a warming technique), massage, diet and herbs. We only use single use, medical grade sterile needles. Acupuncture has a positive effect on all of the body systems to bring about pain relieving endorphins and feelings of wellbeing. By stimulating the body’s various systems, acupuncture can help to: reduce pain, improve sleep, improve digestive function and improve overall well-being to name just a few benefits.
