Also known as "facial revitalisation acupuncture", cosmetic acupuncture works to enhance your appearance and well-being without harmful toxins or surgery. It has been used safely in China for thousands of years - records dating from 960 BC indicate it was originally used by the Chinese Emperors' concubines.
During this relaxing and rejuvenating treatment, ultra-fine, single-use needles are inserted into specific points in the face, ear and body to gently stimulate the circulation, improving collagen production, radiance and muscle tonicity.
The ultra-fine needles create a micro-injury to the skin that stimulates blood flow, encouraging the skin's self-repairing mechanisms to activate the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen, the body's natural 'filler' keeps skin looking plump and youthful, while the increase in blood flow helps to revitalise and nourish the skin.
In addition to cosmetic acupuncture, the treatment also includes use of a jade roller, facial guasha, a relaxing facial massage and acupressure to help with lymphatic drainage and a selection of serums and creams for enhanced results.
