Acupuncture - Cosmetic

Also known as "facial revitalisation acupuncture", cosmetic acupuncture works to enhance your appearance and well-being without harmful toxins or surgery. It has been used safely in China for thousands of years - records dating from 960 BCE indicate it was originally used by the Chinese Emperors' concubines.

Cosmetic Acupuncture uses acupuncture points and meridians on the face, and stimulates the flow of fresh blood containing oxygen, nutrients and collagen to the face which in turn helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles. Skin circulation is greatly improved and cosmetic acupuncture has been shown to enhance patients' skin tone, tighten skin muscles and lift sagging skin (Paul Adkins, 2006). Cosmetic acupuncture has been shown to eliminate and reduce puffiness and bags under the eyes, tighten pores, treat hormonal skin imbalances and promote skin rejuvenation via increased blood flow (Virginia Doran, 2010).

What happens during treatment?
During the first treatment, a full history will be taken. The Chinese understanding is that the surface of the body cannot be healthy unless the inside is too. During the consultation the practitioner will also talk to you about anything else you might want treated.

This is a totally natural treatment which is a healthier alternative to surgical and chemical treatments and it works with the body's energy. The treatment ends with a facial massage – you walk out feeling much more revitalised than you would after botox.

How many treatments do I need and how long does it last?
An immediate result can be evident after the first treatment, although significant improvements are usually after a number of treatments. Acupuncture is cumulative and it is advisable to have a course of 10-12 treatments and then come back once a month to maintain the effect.

£65 for 60 minutes (without facial massage)
£85 for 90 minutes (with facial massage)

£95 for 75 minutes (single session)
£520 - prepay course of 6 treatments
£995 - prepay course of 12 treatments
** Each session includes a grounding body treatment. A facial cleanse is followed by the application of intra-dermal needles and ends with a facial massage, leaving you feeling relaxed and looking revitalised
